316 Stainless Steel
This is one of the most utilised metals in the world.
It is a steel made of iron, chrome, carbon, and other elements including nickel and molybdenum.
It has excellent resistance to corrosion under tension thanks to its high nickel content and is also resistant to acids.
316 Stainless steel also welds well and requires no special treatment.
Its chrome content means that the steel is stable and elastic, guaranteeing dutility and malleability.
During welding, this steel fuses at 1435°C even if it transforms from being austenitic to ferritic between 600°C and 800°C.
Due to these properties 316 stainless steel is used in the architectural, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical, industrial chemical, paper and textile sectors.
